Our History & Impact
From a small group of enthusiastic coders to one of the most active clubs on campus, our journey has been defined by growth, learning, and making a difference.
2023, Fall: Club Founding
Desert Vista CS began with just 12 students and one faculty advisor, with a redefined mission on what we wanted to achive. Our first plan was integrating into Future Business Leaders of America to provide members with greater opportunities.
2024, Spring: Competitive Success
Our FBLA chapter was established, and our first 6 members competed in the regional and state FBLA conferences. All 6 won countless awards at regionals, and everyone qualified for nationals in Orlando.
2024, Fall: Club Expansion
Our club expanded and made FBLA a more prominent feature. Chapter membership increased over 500% from 6 members to over 30. We expanded our curriculum to include basic development content and began preparing for FBLA in the spring.
2025, Spring: Where We Are Today
Now with over 30 active members, Desert Vista CS has become a technology hub at our school. We're proud to have a nationally competing team and look to continue helping students create their career.
